Music, Catch, Camping, and Bacon!

James LOVES to play catch and get's VERY excited!

Last night, we decided to "go camping" in the backyard.  We grilled hot dogs (ssshhh...don't tell James that they were chicken and spinach dogs!) and made s'mores.  We set up the tent and gave Claire the opportunity to sleep in it, but after some books and playtime, she decided to sleep in her own bed.  Claire also got to see lightening bugs for the first time.

 We had BLT's for lunch today.  James only ate the "B" of his sandwich but he sure did enjoy it!

I'm glad the above pictures make it look like they were having fun, but the reality is that they were both very hesitant and wanted to sit on their towels instead of playing in the water.

Yesterday, Claire and I attended the wedding of one of her teachers at our church.  Both bride and groom are in their 50s and have never been married.  It was a sweet, pretty wedding and a special treat for Claire to see someone she knows so well getting married.

Summer Camp

Claire attended a little summer day camp at her new preschool this past week.  The theme was "Olympics."  She hasn't shared too much information about what she got to do, but I did learn that the week included playing ball, running races, walking on a balance beam, playing on the playgound, doing art projects, eating popsicles, and making new friends.
