37 Weeks

Little Brother should be here soon!

37 Weeks

Tonight Claire got to enjoy a special treat from our friend Terry.
Hum...this is interesting

I think it's something yummy to eat...

Oh this is much better!

Yum!

So yummy that I taught myself the lick-the-bowl technique!

Thanks Terry!

18 Month Checkup

Claire weighs 27.5 pounds (85th percentile) and is 33.5 inches tall (95th percentile).  We had to hold off on her immunizations because her ear infection hasn't completely cleared up.  Actually it's in both ears now, but she's not running a fever or showing any signs of being sick.  We're trying a different antibiotic.

Matt and I had a good laugh on the way to church Sunday.  Claire was reading her "Jesus Loves Me" book in the back seat.  It has the lyrics of the song with pictures of a little bear family.  One page shows the Baby, Mommy, and Daddy bears sitting around the table eating dinner.  Claire stayed on this page for awhile just talking away.  We would occasionally hear the words "eat" and "cracker" amidst the gibberish.  I whispered to Matt that she was probably telling the story about how the baby bear wanted to eat crackers but the mean mommy and daddy bears wouldn't let him.  Next thing we know, Claire started saying "no no no no"  as a part of her story!

When I picked Claire up from the nursery Sunday afternoon, her teachers told me a story.  There was a baby boy crying in a swing and apparently Claire was taking different toys over to him to try to comfort him.  They said she was being very nurturing and that she will be a great big sister!

Pumpkins

Yesterday, some wonderful friends from church threw me a baby shower. Everyone was so kind and generous. Little Boy received some cute toys, clothes, and supplies. I'm 36 weeks pregnant now, so it won't be long before he arrives!

While I was away, Matt and Claire went to find our pumpkins for this year. Claire loved walking around, sorting pumpkins, getting a balloon and sticker, and going through the pine straw maze all by herself! They brought home a Daddy pumpkin, Mommy pumpkin, Claire pumpkin, Baby Brother pumpkin, and Brooks pumpkin.
