Ethan's First Solid Food

To celebrate Ethan hitting his half-year mark on January 25, we fed him his first rice cereal.  He made some funny facial expressions but it was hard to tell how he felt about it.  We've given him some at dinner every night since.  He seems to like it and fusses in between bites.

Michigan Trip Part 5

Here's the last of the Michigan pictures for now.  Aunt Dana has some on her camera that we will share later, but I wanted to go ahead and get these up.  We left Michigan around 2:30 pm on Tuesday and arrived home at 6:00 am on Wednesday.  It was a whirlwind for a few days and we're still pretty tired, but it was good to get to visit with everyone.

Michigan Trip Part 4

We stayed in a hotel in Michigan.  It was our first time as a family of 5 and the first time that Claire and James were old enough to remember.  Thanks to Matt's hotel points, we were able to get two adjoining rooms--one for me and Ethan and one for Matt, Claire and James.  We spent Monday morning at the hotel pool where the kids had a blast.  Ethan seemed very relaxed but his feet were kicking the whole time.  Pretty sure he swam a few miles with his feet!

Claire slept in a big bed for the first time.  We padded it all around with pillows and she did fine.

Ethan didn't sleep well while we were there, until I brought him over to the big bed.  Apparently he was holding out for the more comfortable option in the room!
