On the way home from Murrells Inlet last night, we stopped for a quick dinner at Denny's. Claire has reached the wonderful age where we can order from the kids' menu instead of having to bring special food just for her. It's also nice to know that most restaurants now provide some fruits or veggies as a side to the traditional chicken strips or grilled cheese.
Our little cutie made such an impression on the waitress that we were asked if she was allowed to have a scoop of ice cream - on the house. So while Claire doesn't normally get anything more sugary than a graham cracker, we figured it'd be a shame to turn down such a sweet gesture... and Claire was thankful. VERY thankful. Not only did she feed herself the entire scoop (with only a little bit in her hair), she did it by skillfully navigating from the end of a very long spoon. After this, she may get much more ice cream just so we can watch her enjoy it!
