Baby Shower

Our 32 week doctor's appointment went well.  Still measuring and weighing right where we should be.

Last Saturday Terry, a dear friend and mentor here in Atlanta, and her daughter Anna threw me a wonderful baby shower.  The food, decorations, and games were all perfect.  Several of my church friends attended in addition to my mom, grandmothers, aunt, cousin, and best friend from high school.  It was so wonderful to feel the love and support.  Everyone was very generous with gifts for Baby Girl!  Thank you all so much!

31 Weeks

We had our 30 week doctor’s appointment last Monday, and all went well!  Still weighing and measuring right on track.  Now we will go to the doctor every two weeks instead of every four.  We still have two doctors in the practice that we haven’t met yet, but everyone we have met is great!  Baby Girl is very active these days—rolling and kicking all around!  It’s such an amazing feeling.  We’re up to 31 weeks now, so the due date is 9 weeks from today.  Hard to believe!

 

  

Snow Day!

We had a beautiful snow day yesterday.  Matt and I want to the nearby Nature Reserve to take some pictures.  Matt's still playing with the settings on his new camera, so most of the pictures are of me.  Can't quite get my winter coat buttoned all the way anymore!  ;) 

 

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

 

Rocking Chair for Nursery

Last Christmas we brought back a rocking chair from Michigan that had belonged to Matt's great-grandmother Sadie.  Matt spent many hours refinishing and reupholstering the chair to go in the nursery.  He did a great job!

Starting the Nursery

We've ordered the furniture, picked out the bedding, and now Matt is working on painting. The walls are a pale pink and he's adding stenciling. We're going to add chair rail to the room also. Here's how it's going so far!

Moving Around

Matt got to feel Baby Girl move for the first time on Wednesday night! She was moving around, so I put his hand on my tummy. A minute later, I asked "Did you feel that?" He replied, "That was you wasn't it?" I smiled and said "No...that wasn't me!" So exciting!

Her little kicks and punches are getting stronger and more frequent every day.
