While in Michigan, we enjoyed some late Christmas celebrations and visiting with family.

Bama and Dabo have piggy banks for each of their four grandchildren.  The kids enjoy adding change every time we visit.

Michigan Trip Part 1

Last Friday, we headed off to Michigan.  We left Atlanta around 2:30, stopped at MM and Pops' house for dinner and a nap for Daddy, got the kids in their PJs and drove through the night.  We arrived at Bama and Dabo's house around 8:30 Saturday  morning.  The kids did well on the drive.  They woke up when we stopped for gas, but settled back down pretty easily.  As we headed north, the landscape got whiter and whiter and there was plenty of snow on the ground for playing when we got there.  James and Claire had fun sledding with Dabo and Daddy.

And then they came inside and warmed up with some yummy hot chocolate.
