We woke up to about five inches of snow Monday morning. We had freezing rain the rest of the day and then very cold temperatures since then have created a layer of ice over the whole city.
We've had some extra time in our PJs, playing and reading and snuggling. (Claire's cuddle time is limited to about 2 minutes at a time--she would much rather be moving!)
We did venture outside for a few minutes this morning to put out some more bird seed and check the mail (which hasn't come since Saturday--so much for USPS creed!)
While I did get a smile for the above picture, this is really how we both felt about being outside:
However, Brooks seemed to enjoy himself on the porch for a few minutes.
Claire and I decided we'll be thankful for the heat and enjoy the snow from the inside.
