Baby James Comes Home

We brought James home on Thursday afternoon. There was a little rain and we took the longer, slower, roads home to avoid the highway. Cars are dangerous... new babies should get a police escort for this special ride, or at least some flashing lights with a sign that says "STAY BACK ALL YOU CRAZY PEOPLE!"

He's been adjusting well but probably misses his little hospital bassinet. We kinda miss that thing too. It was really handy to have that rolling total baby station, but I think he'll like his room a lot more very soon.

James makes his Mommy smile...

...and his Daddy too

Such a handsome little guy

Sleeves - with so few options, they're pretty tasty

This just happens to be the same face that Daddy makes when Mommy asks him a question while the football game is on

Tiny feet and long toes

Those furrowed eyebrows aren't just because he's being squished; he's genuinely concerned about this whole "burping" thing

All bundled up and just hanging out between meals

Time to go home! Since this is his first time outside, the lumberjack vest seemed appropriate.

Mommy and James get a special ride out of the hospital.

James gets strapped into his new carseat

All cozy and ready for his first car ride

Welcome Home!
