Claire Meets the Beach

This weekend, we took a visit to MM and Poppy's house in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.  Claire had a fun time getting to spend so much time with the grandparents, plus she dipped her toes in the ocean for the very first time!  I'll let her tell you all about it in her own words:

This is me modeling my new summer swimsuit for the camera!

Not long after we got there, I was ready for a nap; so MM and I relaxed on the swing.

MM has a new kitty; I really like kitties.

Since we were on vacation, Mommy and I did a lot of relaxing together.

This is me and my Poppy going to see the ocean!

I love being with my MM and my Poppy...

...and I love my Mommy and Daddy too!

Daddy helped me tickle my toes in the sand.

"Better watch out Daddy.  In two seconds, this sandy hand is going in my mouth!"

I have to admit that I was a little nervous about getting close to the water...

...but I took a deep breath and slowly walked toward the great big ocean...

...and made a little bitty splash!

When I got cold and tired, MM wrapped me up and carried me for a nice walk on the beach...

...MM is really good at carrying me and rocking me to sleep.

I like family play time, and I seem to be pretty good at drawing a crowd ;)
